TARPON SPRINGS – Detectives assigned to the Crimes Against Children Unit (CAC) have arrested a Tarpon Springs man for possession of child pornography.


Detectives began their investigation after receiving information that child pornography was being accessed and shared via the internet. Through various investigative techniques, detectives identified the suspect as 21-year-old Jacob Kane.


According to detectives, the images were of children between the ages of ten and thirteen years old.


On October 29, 2024, Kane was arrested and charged with two counts of Possession of Child Pornography, one count of Transmission of Child Pornography, and one count of Resisting an Officer without Violence.


Kane was transported to the Pinellas County Jail.


The investigation continues.
