Fingerprinting Services
The Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office Automated Fingerprint Identification System (AFIS) Division is located at 4645 145th Avenue North, Clearwater, FL 33762 (third building on the left).
Hours of Operation: Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
PCSO provides fingerprinting services at no cost or residency requirement.
You must provide a photo ID at the time you are fingerprinted.
PCSO offers both ink and LiveScan (electronic) fingerprinting services.
PCSO can only provide LiveScan (electronic) printing for
- Concealed weapon licenses
- Pinellas County name change applications – You must provide the assigned court number for your case
- Pinellas County home solicitation permits
The Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office DOES NOT provide this service for immigration and naturalization purposes. You need to contact the Department of Immigration and Naturalization to find out where to get your fingerprints taken.
Ink Fingerprints – there are no restrictions on ink fingerprints
- PCSO has generic ink fingerprint cards that are free to use.
- Some potential employers have specific ink fingerprint cards that they require for a background check.
- Verify if your employer requires these types of cards and bring them with you.
- Do not sign these cards in advance and be sure to use black ink when filling out the card.
