Detectives Investigate Inmate Death; Death Does Not Appear Suspicious in Nature (24-137)

CLEARWATER – Detectives assigned to the Robbery/Homicide Unit are investigating the death of 43-year-old inmate Stephanie Miller.

Detectives say Miller was booked into the Pinellas County Jail on October 22nd, 2024, at approximately 8:56 p.m., after being arrested by the St. Petersburg Police Department for One Count of Trespass On Property Other Than Structure Or Conveyance.

Detectives say, at approximately 9:07 p.m. on October 23, 2024 Miller was transported to the hospital where she was later pronounced deceased at 9:42 p.m. on October 24, 2024.

At this point in the investigation, detectives have found no evidence that Miller was involved in any physical altercations or sustained any injuries while incarcerated at the jail.

Miller’s next of kin has been notified.

The investigation continues.
