Detectives Arrest Two High School Students for Written Threats to Kill or Conduct a Mass Shooting (24-110)
SEMINOLE – On August 20, 2024, detectives assigned to the Threat Management Division arrested two Osceola Fundamental High School students for Written Threats to Kill or Conduct a Mass Shooting.
Detectives say that on August 4, 2024, 15-year-old Bryce Niendorf sent a photograph of himself via Snapchat to 17-year-old David Bolinger, stating, “I just wanna shoot Osceola Fundamental Highschool up.”
According to detectives, Bolinger took a screenshot of the Snapchat message and did not report the incident. On August 20, 2024, Bolinger reposted Niendorf’s Snapchat message, adding to it “Happy Bday” and then posted it to his own Snapchat account, which was viewable to other individuals.
Detectives made contact with Bolinger, who admitted to reposting the threat because it was Niendorf’s birthday. Detectives then made contact with Niendorf, who admitted to sending the original Snapchat threat to Bolinger.
Both Niendorf and Bolinger were arrested and charged with Written Threats to Kill or Conduct a Mass Shooting.
