Detectives Arrest Lakeside Christian Student for Threats of Mass Shooting (24-120)

CLEARWATER – On September 17, 2024, detectives assigned to the Threat Management Division arrested a Lakeside Christian School student for Written Threats to Kill or Conduct a Mass Shooting.

Detectives state that on September 17, 2024, they responded to Lakeside Christian School located at 1897 Sunset Point Road in Clearwater, regarding a report of a student, 11-year-old Jamion Wade, having sent a threatening text message to a group of students.

Detectives advised through their investigation, they learned that on August 15, 2024, Wade sent a text message to other students stating, “ONG I MIGHT SHOOT UP DA SCHOOL, JS WATCH, NOVEMBER 4.”

Detectives made contact with Wade, who was arrested and charged with one count of Written Threats to Kill or Conduct a Mass Shooting and was transported to the Pinellas Juvenile Assessment Center.

The investigation continues.
