Captain Jason Schmittendorf
Captain Jason Schmittendorf joined the Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office in 2005. He commands the Communications Division, the Fleet Services Division, and the Records Division. He has worked in the Department of Detention and Corrections, Court Processing, and patrol; has been a sergeant in Risk Protection, a sergeant in Threat Management, a patrol lieutenant, and a Special Operations lieutenant; and has been a negotiator. He has an associate’s degree from Saint Petersburg College, and holds the designation of Certified Public Manager from Florida State University.
