Captain Dave Stang

Captain Dave Stang joined the Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office in 2001 after serving 13 years with the St. Petersburg Police Department. He currently commands the Narcotics Division, which includes the Narcotics Section, the Tactical Investigations Section, and the Technical Operations Unit.

Captain Stang has previously served in the Narcotics Section as a detective, corporal, and sergeant. His additional assignments have included serving as a sergeant in Patrol Operations, the Violent Crimes Task Force, and the Tactical Investigations Section, where he later advanced to the rank of lieutenant. Prior to his current role, Captain Stang served as the commander of the Central District Station.
