Captain AJ Scarpati
Captain Anthony Scarpati joined the Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office in 2013 after eight years with the Pasco County Sheriff’s Office. He oversees the Criminal Investigations Division, which includes the Property Crimes Section, Crimes Against Persons Section, and the Cyber Section. During his tenure with the sheriff’s office, he has worked as a patrol deputy, a detective, corporal, and sergeant in the Robbery and Homicide Unit, a lieutenant in the Threat Management Section, a lieutenant in the Administrative Investigation Division, and a patrol lieutenant. He has taken part in the Federal Bureau of Investigations Law Enforcement Executive Development Association program, and has participated in many advanced investigations training courses.
