Assistant Chief Deputy Dennis Komar
Assistant Chief Deputy Dennis Komar joined the Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office in 1995 after serving for two years at the Dunedin Police Department. He is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the Support Services Bureau, Information Technology Bureau, Judicial Operations Bureau, and the Public Records Processing Unit.
During his tenure with the sheriff’s office, he has served in Field Training, Community Policing, was a corporal, sergeant, and lieutenant in the Patrol Operations Bureau, and commander of the Central District Station, Administrative Investigations Division, Narcotics Division, and Patrol Operations Bureau.
He attended St. Petersburg College, and is a graduate of the Florida Sheriff’s Association Commanders Academy Class Seven, a graduate of the Federal Bureau of Investigation’s Florida Executive Development Seminar, and a graduate of the Florida Criminal Justice Executive Institute’s Executive Leadership Seminar Class Eight.
