Off-Duty Gulfport Firefighter Arrested for Driving Under the Influence (25-034)

PASADENA – On Thursday, April 10, 2025, at approximately 12:58 a.m., deputies assigned to the Patrol Operations Bureau arrested 24-year-old Scott Miller for Driving Under the Influence (DUI).
Deputies observed Miller near Pasadena Avenue and Park Street driving his personally owned Ford 150 pickup truck recklessly through a residential area. Miller reached speeds exceeding 100 MPH.
Deputies made contact with Miller, who exhibited multiple indicators of impairment, including the distinct odor of an alcoholic beverage and bloodshot, glassy eyes.
According to deputies, Miller refused to perform Field Sobriety Tests and declined to provide a breath sample. He was arrested and charged with one count of Driving Under the Influence and transported to the Pinellas County Jail.
Miller is a firefighter employed by the Gulfport Fire Department.
