Active Assailant Mass Casualty Exercise (25-085)

CLEARWATER – On Wednesday, July 30, 2025, multiple Pinellas County first responders will be participating in an Active Assailant Mass Casualty Exercise.

The exercise will be held at Clearwater High School, located at 1951 Gulf to Bay Boulevard in Clearwater.

This exercise is being conducted to evaluate and improve our overall preparedness for an emergency event. Although this incident is not real, the response during the exercise will be practiced in a manner that is as realistic as possible.

For safety and coordination purposes, the following roads around the perimeter of the High School will be affected by road closures:

·         Arcturas Avenue – Limited Access beginning at 6:00 AM. Full Road Closure 8:30 AM.

·         S. Hercules Avenue – Southern half to Druid Road. Full Road Closure 8:30 AM.

·         Druid Road – Between S. Hercules Avenue and Willowbranch Avenue. Full Road Closure 8:30 AM.

All roadways are expected to be opened at 1:00 PM. Gulf to Bay Boulevard will not be affected during this training event.
