Detectives Arrest Registered Sex Offender for Possession of Child Pornography (25-016)

ST. PETERSBURG - On February 12, 2025, detectives assigned to the Crimes Against Children Unit (CAC) arrested an Unincorporated St. Petersburg man for Possession of Child Pornography.
Detectives began their investigation after receiving information that child pornography was being uploaded via the internet. Through various investigative techniques, detectives identified the suspect as 35-year-old Zachary Northup, who is a registered sex offender.
According to detectives, the images were of children between the ages of 5 and 14 years old.
Detectives arrested Northup, charging him with six counts of Possession of Child Pornography, and transported him to the Pinellas County Jail.
