Multiple Law Enforcement Agencies Complete Active Assailant Mass Casualty Exercise (25-009)

TARPON SPRINGS – On February 1, 2025, multiple Pinellas County law enforcement agencies participated in an Active Assailant Mass Casualty Exercise. The exercise was held at St. Petersburg College Tarpon Springs, located at 600 E. Klosterman Road in Tarpon Springs.
The Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office, Tarpon Springs Police Department, Clearwater Police Department, St. Petersburg Police Department and St. Petersburg College participated.
The purpose of the exercise was to test and evaluate law enforcement's response to an active shooter, and test the procedures put in place to see what works and, more importantly, what doesn’t. It is our priority to continuously evaluate what we’re doing and how we’re doing to instill confidence in our community and keep the citizens of Pinellas County safe.
We’d like to thank St. Petersburg College for partnering with us to help make this exercise a success.
