According to detectives, one of the devices seized during the search warrant at Hervey’s residence revealed multiple files of child pornography. These files included videos and images of children as young as four years of age engaged in sexual acts. Based on the discovery of these files, Hervey was charged with an additional 18 counts of Possession of Child Pornography.

PALM HARBOR– Detectives assigned to the Cyber Investigations Unit have arrested a Pinellas County psychiatrist for Possession of Child Pornography.
Detectives began their investigation after receiving information that child pornography files were being accessed and shared via the internet. Through various investigative techniques, detectives identified the suspect as 61-year-old William Hervey.
According to detectives, the images were of children between the ages of 6 and 8 years old in various sexual poses. Through the Child Victim Identification Program, the images were identified as being a part of a documented Russian child pornography series.
During the investigation, detectives learned Hervey is a board-certified psychiatrist and the owner of Advantage Mental Health Center located at 2845 US Highway 19 North in Clearwater.
On June 30, 2026, detectives served a search warrant at Hervey’s residence and seized multiple electronic devices for examination.
Hervey was taken into custody and booked into the Pinellas County Jail on two counts of Possession of Child Pornography.
