Pinellas Park Man Arrested for Written Threats to Kill or Conduct a Mass Shooting (26-047)
PINELLAS PARK - Detectives assigned to the Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office Threat Management Unit have arrested a Pinellas Park man for Written Threats to Kill or Conduct a Mass Shooting.
Detectives began their investigation on June 2, 2026, after receiving information regarding a threatening comment posted on Google Maps. According to detectives, the comment, “Im gonna shoot this school up on June 3,” was under the address for Oakhurst Learning Center, located at 13233 102nd Avenue North in Largo.
Through various investigative techniques, detectives learned the IP address associated with the account was linked to a specific device and telephone number belonging to 23-year-old Adam Ballou. Detectives contacted Ballou at his residence and say Ballou confirmed the telephone number belonged to him. Ballou also advised he had possession of the device throughout the day and that no one else had access to it.
Ballou was arrested and charged with one count Written Threats to Kill or Conduct a Mass Shooting and transported to the Pinellas County Jail.
According to detectives, Ballou has no relationship or affiliation with Oakhurst Learning Center.
