Major Accident Investigation Team Investigates Two-Vehicle Crash in Dunedin (25-095)

DUNEDIN – Deputies assigned to the Major Accident Investigation Team (MAIT) are investigating a two-vehicle crash in Dunedin.

According to investigators, on August 10, 2025, at approximately 9:24 p.m., 42-year-old Jared Tiso was driving a 2022 Dodge Ram southbound on Belcher Road, approaching Winchester Drive. 61-year-old George Haddad was driving a 2022 Lexus LX northbound on Belcher Road when Tiso attempted to turn eastbound onto Winchester Drive. Tiso struck Haddad’s vehicle, causing it to roll over, ejecting both Haddad and his passenger, 55-year-old Hayam Haddad.

Both George and Hayam were transported to the hospital with life-threatening injuries.

According to investigators, Tiso showed signs of impairment and performed poorly on Field Sobriety Tests. Tiso was arrested and charged with two counts of Driving Under the Influence Causing Serious Bodily Injury and one count of Driving Under the Influence. He was transported to the Pinellas County Jail.

The investigation continues.
