The purpose of the exercise was to test and evaluate law enforcement's response to an active shooter, and test the procedures put in place to see what works and, more importantly, what doesn’t. This year we added our new Reunification Task Force to the exercise to see how it operates. It is our priority to continuously evaluate what we’re doing and how we’re doing to instill confidence in our community and keep the citizens of Pinellas County safe.

Sheriff Gualtieri says “we are doing something here in Pinellas County that I don’t know is being done to this magnitude any place else in Florida or any place else in the country. Every Police agency, Fire agency and EMS agency in the county trains together and that is very unique.”

We’d like to thank the Pinellas County School Board for allowing us to utilize two of their schools to make this exercise a success.
