Chief Deputy Danzig Holds Press Conference to Discuss the Death of Missing 3-year-old Child (25-038)

PALM HARBOR - On April 13, 2025, at approximately 4:25 p.m., deputies responded to 3843 Lancaster Court in Palm Harbor after a report of a missing 3-year-old boy, Kyrie Larry.

When deputies arrived on scene, they learned Kyrie, who is autistic and non-verbal, had exited the residence without his parents’ knowledge. Both of the child’s parents, Marcus Larry and Jasmine Torrence, were home at the time he left the residence, however, they believed he was playing with his older brother. Both Larry and Torrence are hearing impaired and did not hear their son leave the home.

The Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office Flight Unit, K9 Unit, bloodhounds, and Marine Unit all responded to assist with the search. A nearby Ring doorbell camera showed Kyrie near a pond, approximately three buildings away from his home. The PCSO Dive Team entered the pond to conduct a search and, shortly after, located Kyrie deceased.

Chief Deputy Danzig said, “Anytime a child loses their life under circumstances like this, it’s a terrible night for everybody out here and I wish it was a better outcome”.
