Clearwater Man Arrested for First Degree Murder After Shooting (26-049)

PINELLAS PARK – Detectives assigned to the Robbery & Homicide Unit are conducting a homicide investigation in Pinellas Park.


On June 5, 2026, at approximately 4:44 A.M., patrol deputies responded to a business located at 6612 69th Avenue North in Pinellas Park for a report of a “gunshot heard” call.


Due to exigent circumstances, deputies forced their way inside of the business and located 50-year-old Craig Beeth deceased on the floor from a gunshot wound to the head.


Detectives assumed the investigation and learned that 44-year-old Robert Worthington was at the business with Beeth. Worthington was distraught over issues occurring in his personal life and got into an argument with Beeth. During the confrontation, Worthington pointed a handgun at Beeth and fired a single shot into Beeth’s head, killing him. Worthington fled the scene prior to the arrival of deputies.


On Saturday, June 6, 2026, Worthington was arrested and transported to the Pinellas County Jail.


Next of kin has been notified.


The investigation continues.
