Detectives Arrest Seminole Man for Possession and Transmission of Child Pornography (25-045)

SEMINOLE – Detectives assigned to the Crimes Against Children Unit (CAC) arrested a Seminole man for Possession and Transmission of Child Pornography.

On December 12, 2024, detectives began an investigation after receiving information that child pornography was being accessed and shared via the internet. Through various investigative techniques, detectives identified the suspect as 43-year-old Johannes Roetz III. According to detectives, the images were of children between the ages of 8 and 10 years old.

On April 23, 2025, Roetz was arrested and charged with 2 counts of Possession of Child Pornography and 2 counts of Transmission of Child Pornography. He was transported to the Pinellas County Jail.
