Deputies Deliver Easter Meals to Families in Need (24-045)
PINELLAS COUNTY – On Tuesday, March 26, 2024, deputies assigned to the Community Policing Unit will be loading sheriff’s office vehicles with holiday meals. The deputies will deliver those meals to 50 families that they identified through their daily work in the community. Those families have been identified in the areas of Ridgecrest, Highpoint, Lealman, St. Petersburg, and other areas throughout Pinellas County.
Each meal includes a fully cooked ham, green beans, corn, mashed potatoes, navy beans, sliced pineapple, peanut butter and grape jelly, or macaroni and cheese, a loaf of white bread, jellybeans, apple juice, and iced tea.
Deputies will meet tomorrow, March 26th, at 2:00 p.m. behind the Publix located at 12022 Indian Rocks Road in Largo.
This will be the 19th year these organizations have partnered for this event. Similar events are conducted for Thanksgiving and the Christmas Holidays.
Throughout the year, Calvary Episcopal Church continues its work through the Beach Community Food Pantry, which is open every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. They are always accepting monetary donations and all non-perishable donations of food products.
