Pinellas County Schools Student Arrested for Written Threats to Kill or Conduct a Mass Shooting (24-003)
PINELLAS COUNTY – On January 12, 2024, deputies arrested a Pinellas County Schools student for Written Threats to Kill or Conduct a Mass Shooting.
According to deputies, 12-year-old Amia White sent Instagram messages to two other students regarding conducting a school shooting that would take place at Azalea Middle School.
Deputies made contact with White and her mother, where she admitted to sending the messages, but told deputies she was not serious about the threats. At the conclusion of the investigation, White was taken into custody and charged with Written Threats to Kill or Conduct a Mass Shooting. She was transported to the Pinellas Juvenile Assessment Center.
