PINELLAS COUNTY - Detectives assigned to the Narcotics Division arrested four suspects following the service of two search warrants in Oldsmar.
On August 16, 2021, detectives began an investigation after receiving information that 20-year-old twin brothers, Mason & Nicholas Aponte, were selling large amounts of narcotics from their residence in Oldsmar.
Through various investigative techniques, detectives identified two locations associated with the narcotics sales. During the course of the investigation, detectives also discovered that a female, later identified as 19-year-old Karina Cruz-Nonth, was also selling narcotics from the residence and advertising large quantities of narcotics on her social media accounts.
On September 16, 2021, detectives served search warrants at 133 Sabal Court #D and 100 Old Village Way #4611 in Oldsmar.
The following items were located within the residence located at 133 Sabal Court #D:
- 256 grams of powder cocaine
- 925 grams of oxycodone
- 826 grams of marijuana
- 89 grams of MDMA
- 45 THC cartridges
- Assorted gold jewelry
The following items were located within the residence located at 100 Old Village Way #4611:
- 67.4 pounds of marijuana
- 7.4 pounds of THC wax
- 78 grams of Adderall
- 180 pounds of marijuana edibles (1,501 individual packages)
- 3 pounds of alprazolam (5,534 doses)
- 3,225 THC cartridges
- $31, 639 in United States currency

- Short barreled 12 gauge Winchester shotgun
- Taurus 9mm
- Polymerbo 9mm handgun
- Sporter 762 rifle
- M11 9mm handgun w/suppressor
- M11 9mm handgun w/suppressor

While detectives were serving the search warrants, it was discovered that 24-year-old Andrew Smith was also involved in the narcotics operation. He was located by detectives and found to be in possession of one pound of marijuana and $17,549 in United States currency.
The Aponte brothers were suspects in a search warrant of a hotel room in Oldsmar last year where sixty-seven pounds of marijuana and nine firearms were recovered, as well as the seizure of $140,000. See News Release 20-100
The four suspects were transported to the Pinellas County Jail without incident.
