PINELLAS COUNTY – Deputies assigned to the Patrol Operations Bureau are investigating an early-morning shooting at the Diamond Dolls gentlemen’s club located at 16321 US 19 in Unincorporated Clearwater. Two victims were transported to a local hospital with minor injuries and two suspects were arrested.
According to investigators, at approximately 3:00 a.m. on Friday, May 7, 2021, deputies were dispatched to a reported shooting at the Diamond Dolls gentlemen’s club. Deputies located two victims who sustained minor injuries and were transported to a local hospital for treatment.
The investigation revealed 21-year-old Alycia Ruiz and her boyfriend, 30-year-old Anthony Bates, were at the club when Anthony’s former girlfriend, 23-year-old Tayler Bibb, arrived with her mother, 47-year-old Melissa Bibb. Tayler began speaking to Anthony inside the establishment which led to an argument between Tayler and Alycia. Security attempted to move Tayler and Alycia from the building as a large group or people gathered outside. While in the rear parking lot, Alycia produced a firearm and discharged two rounds; Fragments struck both Tayler and Melissa.
Deputies say Alycia and Anthony fled the location in a vehicle which was later located by the Pinellas Park Police Department in the Wawa parking lot at 34th Street and 62nd Avenue North. Alycia was identified as the suspected shooter and arrested. She was transported to the Pinellas County Jail where she is held on one count of Aggravated Battery with a Deadly Weapon. Anthony was identified as the driver of the fleeing vehicle and was also arrested. He was transported to the Pinellas County Jail and charged with Principle to Aggravated Battery and had an unrelated warrant for Failure to Appear – Driving While License Suspended.
The investigation continues.
