Detectives assigned to the Crimes Against Children Unit have arrested 51-year-old Pedro Caamal for two counts of Lewd and Lascivious Molestation.
When:
The crimes occurred between December 17, 2019 and November 17, 2020 in Tarpon Springs.
The suspect was arrested on Thursday, December 17, 2020 at approximately 7:30 a.m. at 521 Berkley Avenue in Tarpon Springs.
Where:
The crimes occurred at the suspect’s Pinellas County residence.
Why/How:
Detectives assigned to the Crimes Against Children Unit have arrested 51-year-old Pedro Caamal for two counts of Lewd and Lascivious Molestation.
According to detectives, the investigation began on December 16, 2020 after a minor child disclosed she was the victim of sexual abuse.
During the investigation, detectives learned two female victims had been touched inappropriately on their buttocks and breasts. One victim is under the age of 12 and the second victim is between 12 and 16-years-old.
Detectives say Caamal admitted to there being a lack of understanding boundaries and appropriate touches regarding his behavior.
Caamel was arrested and charged with two counts of Lewd and Lascivious Molestation. Caamel was transported to the Pinellas County Jail without incident with a $20,000 bond.
