Detectives assigned to the Robbery Homicide Unit have identified and arrested the suspect who committed the bank robbery at 13700 Park Boulevard North.

Investigators say, on August 6, 2020 at approximately 10:47 a.m., St. Petersburg Police Department responded to Mid Florida Credit Union at 2646 4th Street North in St. Petersburg in reference to a bank robbery. St. Petersburg Officers later arrested the suspect and identified him as 51-year-old Charles Combs.

Pinellas County Robbery/Homicide detectives interviewed Combs at the St. Petersburg Police Department and he admitted to the robbery on August 3rd.

Detectives charged him with one count of Armed Robbery in addition to charges from the St. Petersburg Police Department.

The investigation continues.

Detectives assigned to the Robbery/Homicide Unit have identified a vehicle in connection with the Bank Robbery at 13700 Park Boulevard North.

The vehicle is described as a silver or tan late 1990’s Toyota Corolla sedan. The paint appears to be faded, has only one hubcap on the passenger side rear and has an antenna on the pillar above the driver’s side mirror. There is a black molding strip on the front and rear passenger door.

What:
Detectives assigned to the Robbery/Homicide Unit are seeking the public’s assistance in locating a bank robbery suspect in unincorporated Seminole.

When:
The crime occurred on Monday, August 3, 2020 at approximately 4:12 p.m.

Where:
The robbery occurred at the First Citizens Bank located at 13700 Park Boulevard in Unincorporated Seminole.

Why/How:
Detectives assigned to the Robbery/Homicide Unit are seeking the public’s assistance in locating a bank robbery suspect in unincorporated Seminole.

According to detectives, the suspect entered the First Citizens Bank located at 13700 Park Boulevard in Unincorporated Seminole.

Investigators say, while inside the bank, the suspect pointed a hand gun at the teller and demanded money. The currency was loaded into a bag and the suspect left the bank with an undisclosed amount of money.

The suspect is described as a white male wearing a long sleeve button up shirt and dark pants. He had a black bandanna on his head covered by a straw hat and was wearing a black face mask.
