The operation is part of the Pinellas County Sheriff's on-going commitment to reduce deaths, injuries, and property damage associated with traffic crashes related to impaired driving. The goal of the Wolf Pack is to educate people and create public awareness about the dangers of operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol and any chemical or controlled substances.
The Pinellas County Sheriff's Office will be conducting Wolf Packs continuously throughout the year.

Deputies And Local Police Agencies To Conduct County-Wide DUI Wolf Pack This Weekend

What:
In an effort to reduce DUI related injuries and deaths, deputies will conduct a Wolf Pack operation in Pinellas County over the weekend.
When:
The operation will begin at 7 p.m., Saturday, May 4, 2019 and continue until 5 a.m., Sunday, May 5, 2019.
Where:
Deputies and other law enforcement officers will monitor traffic throughout Pinellas County.
How/Why:
Pinellas County deputies, in conjunction with Tarpon Springs Police Department, Clearwater Police Department, Largo Police Department, Pinellas Park Police Department, St. Petersburg Police Department, Florida Highway Patrol, and the Gulfport Police Department will conduct a DUI Wolf Pack operation. They will maintain a proactive profile over the weekend on the highly-traveled roadways of Pinellas County.
The operation will begin at 7 p.m. on Saturday, May 4, 2019, and continue until 5 a.m., on Sunday, May 5, 2019.
The operation is part of the Pinellas County Sheriff's on-going commitment to reduce deaths, injuries, and property damage associated with traffic crashes related to impaired driving. The goal of the Wolf Pack is to educate people and create public awareness about the dangers of operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol and any chemical or controlled substances.
Mothers Against Drunk Driving (M.A.D.D.), Chaplains Outreach Ministries, and the Suncoast Safety Council will be supporting law enforcement during the operation.
This Wolf Pack will be dedicated to the memory of Deputy John Robert Kotfila Jr. Deputy Kotfila was a deputy with the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office for six years. Deputy Kotfila was killed by a drunk driver on March 12, 2016. Deputy Kotfila was struck head-on by the drunk driver on the Lee Roy Selmon Expressway.
The Pinellas County Sheriff's Office will be conducting Wolf Packs continuously throughout the year.
