What:
Deputies have released the results of the overnight countywide DUI Wolf Pack.
When:
Pinellas County deputies along with various local law enforcement agencies conducted the county-wide DUI Wolf Pack from Friday, December 22, 2017, through Saturday, December 23, 2017.
Where:
The DUI Wolf Pack was conducted throughout Pinellas County.
Why/How:
In an effort to reduce DUI related injuries and deaths, Pinellas County Deputies in conjunction with the St. Petersburg Police Department, Clearwater Police Department, Pinellas Park Police Department, Tarpon Springs Police Department, Gulfport Police Department, Largo Police Department, Kenneth City Police Department, Florida Highway Patrol and G4S Prisoner Transportation conducted a DUI Wolfpack operation in Pinellas County overnight.
The results are as follows:

4 Possession of a Controlled Substance (Misdemeanor)
3 Possession of a Controlled Substance (Felony)
12 Driving While License Suspended and/or Revoked with Knowledge (Misdemeanor)
6 Other Misdemeanor Charges
2 Felony Charges

40 Speeding

2 Violation Driver’s License Restrictions

The operation was part of the Sheriff's Office on-going commitment to reduce deaths, injuries, and property damage associated with traffic crashes related to impaired driving. The goal of a Wolf Pack is to educate drivers and create public awareness about the dangers of operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol and any chemical or controlled substances.
The Pinellas County Sheriff's Office will be conducting DUI Wolf Packs continuously throughout the year.
