Deputies have arrested a Largo man for burglary after he made entry into an occupied restaurant via the roof.
When:
The burglary occurred at about 5:30 a.m. on Saturday, September 26, 2015.
Where:
The crime occurred at the Country Skillet Restaurant located at 2839 Roosevelt Boulevard.
Why:
According to investigators, employees opening the restaurant heard a banging noise coming from the ceiling. An employee went outside and observed a male on the roof who was later identified as 56-year-old Chris Williams. Employees called police.
Deputies say Williams dropped through the roof into the restaurant . According to investigators Williams was not confrontational and remained within the structure until deputies arrived on scene.
He was arrested for burglary to an occupied structure and subsequently transported to the Pinellas County Jail without further incident.
The investigation continues.
