The incident took place at approximately 3:43PM on January 2, 2015.
How/Why:
Deputies responded to an armed bank robbery at Fifth Third Bank, 1703 McMullen Booth Road, in Safety harbor at approximately 3:43PM. According to Detectives, the suspect entered the bank and demanded cash from the teller displaying a silver handgun. He received an undisclosed amount of cash and left the bank southbound on foot. No one was injured during the robbery.
The suspect is described as a heavy set white male wearing jeans, a black shirt, white sneakers sunglasses, and a red ball cap. He was armed with a silver handgun.
