The crash occurred at approximately 10:04 PM November 19, 2014.

The crash occurred on Drew Street and North Glenwood Avenue, Clearwater.
Why/How:
Deputies assigned to the Major Accident Investigation Team are investigating a crash involving a deputy. Deputy Trentmann was travelling west bound on Drew Street in the right curb lane in a marked 2005 Chevy Impala. Tyson Boles was travelling west bound on Drew Street in the left lane driving a 2001 Ford Explorer. Deputy Trentmann slowed and began to make a U-turn intending to stop an eastbound vehicle for a traffic violation; she did not see the Explorer in the left lane. The Explorer struck the rear driver’s side of the patrol vehicle.
Deputy Trentmann was transported to Morton Plant for non-life threatening injuries. Tyson was not injured in the crash.
Alcohol and drugs are not a factor of the crash.
The investigation continues.
