Major Jon Tobeck

Major Jon Tobeck joined the Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office in 2006 and oversees the Homeland Security Bureau. He has worked in the Strategic Enforcement Section, the Violent Crimes Task Force, was a detective and sergeant in the Burglary and Pawn Unit and the Robbery and Homicide unit, a lieutenant in the Crimes Against Persons Section, the Criminal Investigations Division captain, and the Investigative Operations Bureau Major. Before working at PCSO he was with the Ft. Myers Police Department. He has a bachelor’s degree in public safety administration from St. Petersburg College and has taken part in the Police Executive Research Forum, Senior Management Institute for Police, and the Florida Criminal Justice Executive Institute Executive Leadership Seminar.
