Captain Scott Matthews
Captain Scott Matthews joined the Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office in 1997 and is responsible for the Special Operations Division, which includes the Canine, Flight, Marine and Environmental Lands, Airport, Field Training, and Special Events units, and the Major Accident Investigation Team. He has been a detective, lieutenant, and captain in the Narcotics Division, and a sergeant in the Marine and Environmental Lands Unit. He previously worked at the Tampa Police Department and the Gulfport Police Department. He attended the DEA Drug Unit Commanders Academy.
