Director Michelle Posewitz
Director Michelle Posewitz joined the Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office in 2023 and oversees the Human Resources Bureau, which provides comprehensive human resources-related support for the agency including employment (recruitment, selection, and background investigations), compensation, performance evaluations, benefits, wellness initiatives, retirement, workers compensation, Sheriff’s Leadership Institute, and HRIS programming. Before joining the sheriff's office she served as the Human Resources Director for the Hernando County Board of County Commissioners. She has a bachelor’s degree from University of Wisconsin, a master’s degree from Western Governors University, and is a Senior Certified Professional of both the Society of Human Resource Management and the Public Sector Human Resources Association.
