Assistant Chief Deputy David Danzig
Assistant Chief Deputy David Danzig joined the sheriff’s office in 1996 and is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the Patrol Operations Bureau and the Investigative Operations Bureau. He has served in Field Training, Burglary and Pawn, the Marine and Environmental Lands Unit, and was a School Resource Officer. He has been a lieutenant in the Patrol Operations Bureau, and commander of the Violent Crimes Task Force, Administrative Investigations, Investigative Operations Bureau, the Department of Detention and Corrections, and the Central District Station.
Assistant Chief Deputy Danzig holds a bachelor’s degree from St. Leo University, and he is a graduate of Leadership Pinellas Class of 2016, Class One of the Florida Sheriff’s Association Commanders Academy, the Federal Bureau of Investigation’s Executive Development Seminar, and a graduate of 287th session of the FBI National Academy in Quantico, VA. He also has served on the Board of Directors for CASA (Community Action Stops Abuse) for several years.
