Gulfcoast North Area Health Education Center (GNAHEC) offers the Tobacco Free Florida AHEC “Group Quit” FREE in-person and virtual cessation classes. Both class options provide the attendees with a workbook and tools to help in preparation to quit tobacco including FREE nicotine replacement therapy (patches, gum and/or lozenge).
For a listing of FREE in-person and virtual AHEC “Group Quit” cessation classes please download the attached flyer which contains the June 2021 “Group Quit” class schedule or visit www.ahectobacco.com . If your site is interested in hosting a virtual or in-person AHEC cessation program, please let me know and we can work on scheduling.
Providers can directly refer patients to our FREE AHEC cessation classes by filling out the attached AHEC provider referral form and returning it by fax or email. Clients will be contacted by a AHEC staff member to assess their readiness to quit and register them in an appropriate tobacco cessation course.
