We all know the season definitely looks different than it did last year. Events are cancelled. Gatherings are minimal. These are some ways to cope during the holidays and still enjoy it.


-Identify how you're feeling-Take time to sort through your emotions (journaling, talking with a friend, quite time alone). Learn to cope with these feelings
-Acknowledge what you have lost-if you are missing a loved one, think of ways you can honor them during this time
-Make the most of it-Look at virtual ways to see family.
-Don't romanticize your typical holiday plans-Don't dwell on what you did last year or the year before. Even though you aren't doing a lot of the same things this holiday, think of some of the stresses that came along with them from the previous year. you don't have that to deal with anymore. And it's a great excuse to miss holiday events-just saying..
-Practice gratitude-Make a conscious effort to regularly identify somethings that you are grateful for.
