2025 WAIVER AND RELEASE OF LIABILITY, ASSUMPTION OF RISK AND INDEMNITY AGREEMENT
Race Waiver and Release: By signing up to participate in the “Ride & Run With The Stars 2025” event, I fully understand and agree that participation in “Ride & Run With The Stars 2025” is a potentially hazardous activity, which could result in injury or death. I verify I will not enter and participate in the event unless I am medically able and properly trained. By my signature, I certify I am medically able to perform this event, am in good health, and am properly trained. I assume all risks associated with participating in this event, including but not limited to: falls, physical contact with other participants; officers, directors and sponsors of the event; the Pinellas County Sheriff, his deputies and all members of the Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office; Pinellas County; and/or event volunteers; the effects of the weather, including high heat and/or humidity; traffic; the conditions of the road and surrounding terrain; and the potential contraction of communicable disease. I agree to abide by the decision of an event official as to my participation in this event, including the denial or suspension of my participation for any reason. I attest I have read the rules of the Ride & Run With The Stars 2024 event and agree to abide by them. I also agree to follow all applicable traffic laws and to conduct myself in a safe and prudent manner. I understand that this event does not provide for refunds in the event of a cancellation, and by signing this waiver, I agree that I am not entitled to a refund if the event is canceled. I grant “Ride & Run With The Stars” and/or the Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office, permission to use my likeness in a photograph or video in any of its publications, websites, promotional materials, or advertisements. I understand and agree that such use may be made without any further notice to me, and will not require or entitle me to any additional consideration or payment of any kind. Having read this waiver, being fully informed of the potential risks, and in consideration of the acceptance of my entry to participate in the event, I, for myself and anyone entitled to act on my behalf, hereby waive and release Ride & Run With The Stars, its officers, directors, sponsors; the Pinellas County Sheriff, his deputies and all members of the Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office; Pinellas County, a political subdivision of the State of Florida; and all event volunteers, from all claims or liabilities of any kind arising out of my participation in this event, even though that liability may arise out of their negligent acts or omissions. I understand and agree that I am waiving certain rights by signing this form and I do so freely, and voluntarily. I further understand and agree that this release shall be binding upon my heirs and assigns.
