RE: Fuel System Transition Plan
Carol Richardson
|
Fuel System Transition Plan Pinellas County currently provides fuel at 17 fueling stations throughout the county where many of our PCSO vehicles fuel. The county has elected to move to a new Fuel Management Program under the name Asset Works - Fuel Focus. This program is replacing the E J Ward system however many of the operational features are very similar. To ensure everyone impacted will have a summary understanding, the following information will outline the plan and how it will be implemented. Presently each vehicle assigned a fuel key will also be issued a key FOB. This FOB correlates to the member’s vehicle or pool car assigned to a bureau. The new fueling process will be as follows: Enter the pump number Wave the FOB over the reader Enter current mileage –press enter Enter 5 digit payroll number –press enter Begin fueling This fueling process will be posted at the fueling location after it’s converted. As we proceed through transition to the new system, it is likely that many will require both a fuel key (old system) and a FOB (new system). This will allow them to fuel at whatever site they select. This will only be in effect until all sites are converted to the new FOB system at which time the old keys can be returned to Fleet Management. Key Fobs are being distributed by cost center through the Bureau commanders with all users expected to have possession as soon as possible. Each site is expected to be down 24 hours as the transition to the new system is implemented. No more than one site will be off line at a time, and notification will be provided as these site are converted. Should there be an issue with the assigned FOB, please contact Cindy Shanley or Scott Mueller in Fleet Management 582-6316 for assistance. |
