Great American Teach-In 2020

Verliz Williams
It’s almost that time of year again! The Great American Teach-In (GATI) is scheduled for Wednesday, November 18th.

The Pinellas County School Board is limiting participating schools to virtual presentations for this year’s GATI so we will not be authorizing vehicle displays, demonstrations, or in person visits this year. All “visits” will be held via Microsoft Teams or Zoom (school staff is responsible for setting up the sessions). Presentations can also be prerecorded to share with the school’s Family & Community Liaison. All presentation information including PowerPoint presentations, videos, or talking points must be shared with the teacher prior to your presentation. If you are requested to participate or interested in participating in this year’s virtual GATI, please contact Verliz Williams at vwilliams@pcsonet.com or 727-582-6238.

Pinellas County Adopt-A-Cop Chapter

Verliz Williams
Initiated by Chaplain Sgt. Ken Rochell of Michigan State Police in 1998, Adopt-A-Cop assigns LEO’s to a family, group, or individual who will pray daily for you and send a note of encouragement, support, and a thank you for your service to the community. While a bulletproof vest gives you a level of protection, an even greater blessing and shield of protection can be found in the power of a faithful, praying believer or group of prayer warriors. If you’re interested in joining, sign up using this link: https://adopt-a-cop.org/chapters/forms/officer/ and select “Pinellas County Adopt-A-Cop” for your Adopt-A-Cop chapter.
