Funeral Contingent for Deputy Andres Lahera

Our agency will be sending a contingent of certified agency members to Lecanto, FL, for the funeral of Deputy Andres Lahera, who passed on September 11, 2025. Deputy Lahera passed away from complications related to injuries he sustained when he was hit by a vehicle while directing traffic on May 23, 2023. The contingent will leave on Sunday, September 21, 2025. The funeral will be held on September 21, 2025, at 1430 hours. If you would like to represent the agency, please contact Lieutenant Christopher Giles at cgiles@pcsonet.com after obtaining your supervisor’s approval. The uniform of the day will be Class A long sleeve with tie, campaign hat, and black mourning band. Members interested in attending should notify Lieutenant Giles no later than Thursday, September 18, 2025, by close of business.
