MBIS Downtime for CWCS Customers

The Florida Department of Law Enforcement (FDLE) is pleased to announce that the new Multi-Biometric Identification System (MBIS) is scheduled for implementation on February 23, 2025. To facilitate the implementation, FDLE’s Criminal History Services Section will hold processing for all incoming fingerprint-based applicant transactions beginning on Friday, February 21, 2025. Any transactions submitted after this time will be queued until the new system is live, which we expect to be complete on the afternoon of Monday, February 24, 2025. Please allow for additional processing time for all submitted transactions during this implementation.
As a reminder, the only impact during the downtime will be delayed responses. Customers can continue to submit during the implementation.
