Funeral Contingent for Charlotte County Sheriff’s Office Sergeant Elio Diaz

Our agency will be sending a contingent of certified agency members to Charlotte County for the Funeral of Sergeant Elio Diaz, who was killed in the line of duty on December 15, 2024.
The services are being held on Friday, December 20 at 1000 hours, at the Babcock Community Field House located at 43281 Cypress Parkway, Punta Gorda, FL. The contingent will depart Pinellas County on the morning of and return after the services.
The uniform of the day will be the Class A – long sleeve uniform with tie, campaign hat, and black mourning band. If you are interested in attending, please contact Lieutenant Kimon Koungras at kkoungras@pcsonet.com, no later than 1200 hours, Thursday, December 19, after obtaining your immediate supervisor’s approval.
