CJIS Memo 2024-12 regarding Florida Purple Alerts is now available on the CJNet.
Summary:
This CJIS Memorandum is to acknowledge the legislative update to the Florida Purple Alert, F.S. 937.0205. On April 11, 2024, House Bill 937 was signed into law by Governor Ron DeSantis relating to the Purple Alert. The Florida Purple Alert is used to assist in the location of missing adults suffering from a mental, cognitive, intellectual, or developmental disabilities.
