COVID 19 CJIS Memo Update

With the designation of May 11, 2023 marking the official end to the national public health emergency around Covid-19, please be aware that the following CJIS Memos have been rescinded:
· 2021-5 Waiver Extension for Fingerprint-based Criminal History Record Checks on Criminal Justice Applicants
· 2020-6 Preliminary Name-Based Criminal History Record Checks for Critical Positions During Coronavirus Pandemic.
· 2020-4 NCIC Guidance for Warrant, Hit Confirmation, and Locate Procedures During COVID-19 - Please remove the recommended “National Emergency/COVID-19” in the MIS Field during the next update or validation of the Warrant. Also, this national emergency is no longer a recognized factor in determining extradition and placement of a LOCATE.
