The Department of Detention and Corrections is accepting applications for the position of CJS Field Training Specialist, to fill vacancies and to establish an eligibility list. Note: Members who are selected for available openings will remain on the shift they are assigned to on the January 2022 Shift Bid; they will not be reassigned.
ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS FOR POSITION:
· Must meet eligibility requirements pursuant to General Order 6-4a.
· Must be a non-probationary CJS currently assigned to the Department of Detention and Corrections.
· Minimum of two (2) years of experience as a Criminal Justice Specialist in the Department of Detention and Corrections, exclusive of field training.
Members interested in applying for this position must complete the DDC Application and Data Sheet, available on SONET/Agency Forms, and submit through their chain of command to Sergeant Pauline Hawthorn. Members of the Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office who meet the minimum qualifications will have their name certified to the resulting eligibility register. The eligibility list will remain in effect for one year. Closing date for applications will be no later than March 11, 2022.
